Adam is a commercial disputes lawyer with experience in complex litigation matters at all levels of the Singapore Courts.

Adam has acted in a wide range of matters covering both litigation in the Singapore Courts and international arbitration. He has acted before appellate courts in matters engaging novel points of law and successfully represented multi-national companies in a wide variety of claims, including claims for the enforcement of mortgagors' rights and receivers' duties, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duties, minority oppression, fraudulent misrepresentation.

  • acted in a claim before the General and Appellate Divisions of the High Court engaging novel points of law concerning receivers' duties and mortgagor's rights
  • acted for a leading international dye manufacturer in SICC proceedings based on a minority oppression action, concerning the issues over the performance of a US$603.8 million buyout order
  • acted in a claim before the High Court for damages for negligent and fraudulent misrepresentation relating to a purchase of a Japanese property for which construction never started
  • acted in a SIAC arbitration over an M&A transaction on the sale of shares in a company incorporated in the Philippines

Background

Adam graduated with a LLB (First Class Honours) from University College London and is an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore. He also placed among the top 3 candidates in Singapore for both Part A and Part B of the Singapore Bar Examinations.
